It's not going to produce a line smaller than 1 pica in your PDF, otherwise it wouldn't print at all. I don’t think that’s the issue - Acrobat is able to produce lines a lot thinner than 0.01” at standard 600dpi, let alone the 4000+ I have it set to right now. If you want it to visually appear thinner, half tone it.
